Yiwu Sourcing Agent for Global Buyers
TinySourcing helps overseas brands, retailers and wholesalers turn a buying brief into supplier options, approved samples and a coordinated shipment from China.
When Yiwu Fits Your Buying Plan
Yiwu is a useful starting point for comparing everyday consumer products across categories such as stationery, accessories, bags, gifts and household goods. You can explore categories and market listings on Yiwugo's market directory before preparing a shortlist.
A broad assortment does not mean every item is in stock, every supplier accepts small orders, or every product is suitable for your destination. We start with your specifications and quantity, then assess availability, customization and lead time.
When to look beyond the market
Custom tooling, tightly controlled materials or specialist technical requirements may call for a factory search beyond Yiwu. The right supplier depends on manufacturing capability, not proximity to our office. See the product categories we source.
Market Purchasing or Factory Sourcing?
Market Supplier
Useful for comparing existing designs and building an assortment. Confirm stock by SKU, color, carton quantity and dispatch date.
A displayed sample is not proof of available inventory. Ask who manufactures the goods and whether the next batch will match the sample.
Factory Supplier
Worth evaluating when specifications, customization or repeat production require direct manufacturing coordination.
Confirm tooling, setup costs, production MOQ and sample lead time. A factory quotation is not automatically the lowest total cost.
Compare both routes using the same materials, quantity, packaging and delivery terms. A market booth may represent a manufacturer or an intermediary; verify the actual contracting party instead of relying on the word “factory.”
What We Check About a Supplier
- Identity: match the business name, quotation, invoice and proposed payment recipient; clarify any differences before payment.
- Capability: ask where production takes place, which processes are handled in-house and which are subcontracted.
- Product evidence: compare samples with your material, size, finish and packaging requirements. Check that any test documentation relates to the proposed product.
- Order terms: record MOQ, price validity, lead time, inspection criteria and the agreed response to defects.
A booth visit or business-license check does not establish production capacity or guarantee quality. The depth of verification should match the order risk; agree any factory audit or independent testing scope and cost in advance. Explore supplier verification.
Turn a Sample Into an Order Specification
Before approving production, record the supplier's product reference, material, measurements, color, logo placement, packaging and carton markings. Keep an approved sample or agreed reference images alongside that specification.
For a repeat order, confirm whether materials, tooling or subcontractors have changed. A previous successful shipment is useful evidence, but it does not replace checks on the new batch.
Inspection should compare the goods with the approved requirements. If findings need your decision, shipment should wait for that decision rather than assuming a supplier's proposed substitution is acceptable. See our sample production and inspection reports.
How Yiwu Order Consolidation Works
Combining supplier orders can simplify shipping, but it also creates dependencies: one late supplier can hold up the rest. Agree a target collection date and decide whether late goods will wait, ship separately or be removed from the shipment.
- Assign each supplier order a reference and expected SKU/carton list.
- Check received quantities and visible carton condition against that list; agree separate product-inspection requirements.
- Resolve shortages, incorrect labels and packaging changes before final packing.
- Confirm packed dimensions and weight before approving the freight quote.
- Reconcile the packing list and shipping documents with the goods released.
Confirm receiving, storage, re-packing and split-shipment charges in your quote. Consolidation does not automatically make every shipment cheaper: carton volume, handling and destination charges also matter.
Illustrative planning scenario
A retailer buys stationery from one supplier, gift bags from another and seasonal decorations from a third. The decorations are delayed. Compare the cost of storing the ready goods with a separate later shipment before choosing a plan. This is a workflow illustration, not a completed customer case.
Separate Goods, Agency Fees and Shipping
Our published sourcing fee is 3–8% depending on order value. Your quote should distinguish goods, service fees and external costs, with the covered supplier orders clearly identified. Read the fee calculation basis and view a cost breakdown example.
Send your destination country and delivery address before comparing freight options. Ask which transport, clearance, import and final-delivery charges are included, who is responsible for each step, and what product documents are needed. Shipping feasibility and costs must be confirmed for your specific goods and destination.
